How do Outage Notifications work?

There is no fee from Gulf Power, however texting rates may apply depending on your cell phone plan.

Where can I manage my alerts?

Visit and click “Log In to My Account” – from there you can manage your outage alerts. You can also text “Help” to MyGulf (694853) to manage text alerts.

Can I monitor multiple accounts?

Yes, if you have multiple accounts just register each one separately with the account information.

How soon will I hear from you once my lights go out?

Within 15 minutes of the outage starting, you should receive notification with an estimated time for restoring your electricity.

Will I hear from you if the estimated restoration time changes?

Yes, if the estimated restoration time changes by more than 45 minutes from the initial message time, you will receive another message with the updated time.

I tried signing up but never received a confirmation message.

I received a notification that I had an outage but my lights were on, or I did not get a notification when my lights were out.
